Exotic Dream Launch / Mise à l'eau

After five laborious years we finally launched Exotic Dream at the end of June 2010, not withour our load of problems and headaches. Exotic Dream is so heavy that the use of a house-raising contractor was required. As Murphy's law never lets one pass, one of the ropes broke and went straight to the propeller which in turn caused the shaft to twist. We were stuck at dock for another week while Daniel and Denis worked to repair this. Once repaired we made the trip from St-Ours to the LaRonde Marina in Montreal and in the company of Denis, Nancy and Benoit. Must say, this was the most exciting day we have had since the beginning our project in 2004. The weather was perfect, a sunny and breezy day. The trip went off without a hitch.

Enfin après cinq ans de travail acharné et notre lots d'aventures et problèmes de toutes sortes Exotic Dream est mise à l'eau. Étant si lourd nous avons du embauché un contracteur spécialisé en déménagement de maisons. La Loi de Murphy nous a pas épargné ce jour non plus. Un cordage a céder et s'est logé directement dans l'hélice causant l'arbre à se tordre. Une autre semaine à quai pendant que Daniel et Denis s'occupe des réparations. Nous avons pu profiter d'une belle journée ensoleillée pour faire le voyage de St-Ours vers La Marina de LaRonde à Montréal, en belle compagnie avec Denis, Nancy et Benoit. Ce fût le plus beau jour depuis le début du projet en 2004. Une météo cooperative, une journée chaude avec des vents légers.
